Winter in Leutasch

The surroundings of the Alpenresort Olympiaregion Seefeld offers about thirty kilometers of ski slopes. These range from 1100 to a maximum altitude of 2065 meters. In the Seefeld region there are over nineteen kilometers of blue slopes, over six kilometers of red slopes and the remaining ski kilometers are black and therefore the most difficult of all. The area is well equipped for winter sports: there are 29 ski tows, five chairlifts, two gondolas and the area is intersected by a train.

The sloping slopes make the region very suitable for families with smaller children. In addition, the region is famous for its snow security. The area around Alpine resort Olympiaregion Seefeld enjoys snow guaranteed status in the period from December to April. According to a study in 2014 by Günther Aigner, one of the most famous experts when it comes to ski tourism in the Alps, Leutasch is one of the most snow-sure places in Tyrol. Leutasch is also known as a cross-country skiing hall. There are no less than 250 kilometers of trails in the area. The village also houses a large cross-country skiing center that was the center twice during the Olympics and once during a World Cup.

Or take one of the four summer elevators around Seefeld to the mountain peaks and let your eyes be pampered by gigantic mountain massifs, the hidden turquoise colored mountain lakes, the beautiful forests and the green alpine meadows.

At Alpine resort Olympiaregion Seefeld is the largest mountain lake in the area, the high valley is anyway a hiking paradise through unspoiled nature. Among hikers, the gentle Alpine hikes are especially popular: the gentle slopes, which translate into widely accessible ski areas in winter, make hiking at high altitudes possible in summer for young and old. Another hiking tip is the Leutascher Geisterklamm. This impressive gorge with swirling water masses is an experience for young and old.

The surroundings of Alpine resort Olympiaregion Seefeld is also suitable for a beautiful bike ride and for mountain bikers. A tip for mountain bikers is to cycle from Leutasch in about an hour and a half to the Seebensee and then another 45 minutes to the Coburger Hütte. There you have a beautiful panoramic view of the Drachensee.
