The resort will organise an excursion to the Moerdijkbrug bridge, a popular fishing spot. We guarantee you won’t come back empty-handed!
Keen to see animals, but in a more laid-back way? Diergaarde Blijdorp Rotterdam, just a 20-minute drive from Resort De Biesbosch, needs no explanation. The zoo is known for its Asia House, the Amazonica butterfly paradise (where you’ll also meet piranhas), the Congo biotope (which boasts the largest indoor okapi centre) and Oceanium 2.0 (with a set of aquariums recreating the Great Barrier Reef). Plaswijckpark in Rotterdam is another must-see for the entire family. It’s the place to be for the kids to hike and play, and there is an animal kingdom - “dierenwijck” - with wallabies, monkeys, a ruffed lemur, a greater rhea and an alpaca.
Efteling is just around the corner Looking for some action to entertain the kids? Efteling is located a mere 30 km from EuroParcs Resort De Biesbosch. Then there’s GoKart in Dordrecht, which boasts a spectacular indoor track, and Skischool Drechtsteden, also in Dordrecht, an artificial ski slope where kids and adults alike can learn how to ski and snowboard. Two more fun destinations for all ages are the adventure forest Klimpark Fun Forest Rotterdam and Glowgolf & Escape Room Capelle aan den IJssel. We all know what an escape room is, but what is glow golf? Well, it’s glow-in-the dark mini golf. Cool, right?
