EuroParcs Resort Veluwemeer has received the international sustainability label for the recreation and leisure industry and business market: the Green Key. This highly regarded sustainability label is proof that a holiday park has done everything to save the environment, without sacrificing their guests comfort and quality. A holiday park that is allowed to carry the Green Key certificate goes a lot further in terms of sustainability management than the normal laws and regulations require.
To give an example: a Green Key accommodation is always economical with energy and water. A holiday park like EuroParcs Resort Veluwemeer uses LED lighting, light sensors and timers for air conditioning and heating. In addition, no more washing is done than is necessary and environmentally friendly cleaning products are used, for example. This is all based on the idea that both the feeling of comfort of the guests and the nature and environmental values are promoted.
The Green Key program is managed by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Denmark, implementation in the Netherlands is led by the KMVK Foundation. The certified companies meet the standards set by the KMVK Foundation (Foundation Quality Mark for Environment, Safety and Quality). Standards are maintained by independent inspectors through regular site inspections and documentation. The Green Key standard is linked to the Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030 of the United Nations.
Discover the glistening water and the traditional Dutch landscape. Splashing in the outdoor pool at the holiday park, exploring the area by bike, or learning to sail... it's all possible at EuroParcs Resort Veluwemeer!
