Update on data breach

EuroParcs announced on 13 February this year that there had been a data breach in its secure digital environment.

Since then, stakeholders identified by us whose data may have been involved in the data breach have been contacted personally. We would like to reiterate to all our stakeholders that it cannot be ruled out that your data may also have been part of this. This concerns, for example, name and address details, reservation data, employee data (including employment contracts and payroll tax data), copies of identity documents, (e-mail) addresses, telephone numbers and IBAN numbers.

As stated in the FAQ (list of frequently asked questions) created by us for this purpose, we have high standards for data processing and privacy. We took all necessary data security actions and closely followed applicable privacy laws and regulations.

We quickly detected the data breach and then immediately took the affected part of our IT environment offline. EuroParcs also engaged relevant experts for advice and support. After several checks, using a "restore" of a secure backup, we were able to restore our IT environment and associated data. In accordance with our duty of information, the Personal Data Authority (AP), the competent authority, has been notified.

We can say with certainty that our booking system has not been hit. Bookings can therefore continue to be made securely and you can go on holiday with peace of mind.

If you have any questions, you can ask them via the form at the bottom of this page.
