Sustainability

Working together to contribute to a better environment

EuroParcs focuses on sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of EuroParcs' corporate philosophy. We believe that we all have a part to play in protecting and preserving our environment. That's why we consistently focus on environmentally friendly practices and are proud that many of our holiday parks have been awarded the prestigious Green Key.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in our ambitious sustainability programme, which supports the biodiversity in and around our holiday parks. From the use of renewable energy to eco-friendly construction and waste minimisation, we are committed to protecting our environment. Discover what we are doing at our holiday parks now and experience a holiday that is not only relaxing, but also sustainable.

Experience sustainability at our holiday parks

Our holiday parks are surrounded by unspoilt nature and offer our guests the opportunity to experience an unforgettable and sustainable holiday. Although you may not notice it during your stay, we are working hard on our commitment to sustainability at each of our holiday parks. While you are spending your time at our holiday parks, we are working on many things behind the scenes that benefit the environment. From using environmentally friendly cleaning products to promoting biodiversity by creating habitats for native animals and plants.

How we make our parks more sustainable

With their idyllic surroundings and close proximity to nature, our holiday parks offer a unique setting for carefree relaxation. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and find peace and tranquillity. At the same time, we are actively involved in protecting and preserving these precious natural areas for future generations. Our aim is not only to produce less waste, but also to promote efficient waste separation and recycling. That's why there are special bins for glass, paper, plastic and other waste at each holiday park, so that as much as possible is recycled and resources are used wisely.

Cleanliness and hygiene are important to us, but not at the expense of the environment. That's why we only use environmentally friendly cleaning products. Our dishwasher tablets and detergents carry the European Ecolabel and our tea towels are bio-based and made from natural raw materials. We use FSC-certified cardboard for our packaging, which can be recycled after use.

Biodiversity at the holiday park: protecting and promoting local flora and fauna

We are actively involved in protecting and promoting biodiversity at our holiday parks. By installing nesting boxes, insect hotels and bat boxes, we create habitats for a variety of species and help to preserve local ecosystems. So next time you are at one of our holiday parks, why not spot a bird house or nesting box and get up close and personal with the local wildlife!

Focus on energy efficiency: working together for a green future

In our holiday homes, we use innovative solutions to save energy and minimise our carbon footprint. We install energy efficient heating and lighting systems that not only increase comfort, but also protect the environment. Our holiday homes are also equipped with water-saving fittings.

Our latest energy efficient cottages even have lights and heating that switch off automatically when nobody is home. We are working hard to make all our holiday homes more energy efficient, but sometimes we still need your help.

That's why we encourage our guests to take an active part in protecting the environment. When you check out, please turn down the heating and close the windows to avoid wasting energy. Thank you for your help!

Charging points and renewable energy in our holiday parks

You may have noticed while on holiday that we are investing in electric vehicle infrastructure and installing charging points at our holiday parks. More and more parks have multiple charging points in the central car park, but we also offer holiday parks where the charging point is located directly at the holiday home.

To further reduce our carbon footprint, we are also increasing our focus on renewable energy. By installing solar panels and other sustainable energy sources, we are striving to meet our energy needs from environmentally friendly sources, making a significant contribution to the sustainability of the holiday park.
