Tips for the best dog beaches in the Netherlands
As an owner, there is nothing better than being able to let your dog run wild on a dog beach! A day at a dog beach gives the ultimate feeling of freedom, for both you and your furry best friend. Sometimes, it can still be quite complicated to find out where your dog can or cannot run free on the beach. In this blog, we share the best dog beaches near our holiday parks.
Dog beach Zeeland - Cadzand Bad
Our holiday parks in Zeeland are wonderful destinations to go to with your dog. Zeeland is known for its long, wide sandy beaches, vast dune landscapes and bustling boulevards with beach bars. Are you staying at holiday park EuroParcs Schoneveld, holiday park EuroParcs Bad Meersee or holiday park EuroParcs Cadzand? Then your dog can romp on the dog beach of Cadzand-Bad! The only thing to take into account is the high season between 1 May and 1 October. The dog may then only run free between 6 pm and 10 am. Otherwise, dogs are welcome at all beach pavilions, so you can carefree enjoy a cup of coffee, freshly tapped beer and a bowl of water together.
Zuid-Holland - Dog beach Katwijk & Dog beach Noordwijk
Also close to our holiday parks in Zuid-Holland, there are some nice dog beaches for a day of fresh air with the dog. So holidaymakers at holiday park EuroParcs Parc du Soleil and holiday park EuroParcs Noordwijkse Duinen beware! However, the dog beaches in South Holland are generally a bit more crowded, so certain regulations may be in force. In Noordwijk aan Zee, you will find a special dog beach of up to 4 kilometres long. So here you can let your dog run free for quite a long stretch. On the beach at Katwijk aan Zee, the bad weather rule applies from 1 April to 1 October. But between the two beaches is another stretch of beach where they can run free on the sand all year round!
North Holland - Dog beach Bergen & dog beach Egmond
On the wide beaches of North Holland, your four-legged friend can let loose! You will also find many nice beach bars where you can relax in between. On the beach of Bergen aan Zee close to holiday park EuroParcs Koningshof, your dog can run free from October to May. Outside, i.e. during the summer period, you should keep in mind that dogs are not welcome on the beach between 10:00 and 19:00. A stone's throw from holiday park EuroParcs De Woudhoeve is the beach of Egmond aan Zee. The same rules apply here as in Bergen aan Zee, but dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9:00 and 19:00.
